Everyone who is anyone has been in Cannes, the elite of the fashion crowd and the Hollywood creme de la creme. We all eagerly awaited the opening ceremony which served as the premiere of the most eagerly anticipated movie of the year 'The Great Gatsby'. Glamorous looks unfolded all evening proving once again that Cannes is the playground for the rich and famous, the event where the saying 'go big or go home' was invented, did not disappoint.
Gowns glided down the red carpet to the sound of paparazzi light bulbs flashing and uncharacteristic rain showers didn't dampen the evening. Leading lady Carey Mulligan wore a blush matte satin Dior Couture gown with bold red statement lips. The British star was glowing in her spotlight moment with her handsome co star Leonardo Di Caprio, oh ladies we do love him! I'm not sure what I'm looking forward to more, the Gatsby wardrobe or Leonardo himself.

Some of my personal favourites of the night were Frieda Pinto's custom made Gucci coral silk chiffon halter gown with embellished waist, she managed to incorporate a Bollywood feel to Gucci. The braided up do and Chopard jewels were also the perfect accents.

French actress Vahina Giocante grabbed the attention in a vibrant electric blue Elie Saab chiffon gown. Against the red carpet this jewel tone dress really stood out, her stylist certainly gets the thumbs up.
Whether you have your own premiere to attend or you just have the Gatsby bug, steal the Cannes style with opulent eveningwear from us here at Cruise.

Congratulations to Jessica Ennis who married her childhood sweetheart at the weekend, the pair wed in an intimate service in Derbyshire, close to where the couple both grew up. The Olympic athlete wore a breathtaking ivory gown by Monique Lhuillier, the design had a dramatic ruffled skirt and pleated wrap bodice. Ennis looked like a fairytale princess, every girls dream come true.

Costco - the place to pick up cheap booze, plain multi-pack tees and now a full scale F1 Simulator for your front room. That's right, the famed wholesalers are now selling life-size replica F1 cars with a built in racing simulator. Produced by FMCG International and costing £89,999 (a lot less than a real Formula 1 car) the simulator is powered by an Intel Core i7 (a processor capable of unknown capacity), has 16 gigs of RAM, comes kitted out with a 5.1 audio system with subwoofer behind the driver's seat and a non-specified graphics card outputting to three 23" adjustable TFT monitors. We don't know what all that means either but we do like what we see and can imagine countless hours lost within its carbon fiber shell, real wheels, tyres, chromed-out exhaust tips - well, the lot really.
As close to driving a Formula 1 car as humanly possible for someone who isn't and F1 driver, the simulator can be ordered in your choice of team colours here.

Glowing on the red carpet at Cannes on Saturday night, Cheryl Cole certainly was worth it! The Newcastle beauty looked just like a movie star in her Zuhair Murad gown at the premiere of Jimmy P (Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian). In true glamorous Cannes style Cole dazzled in the AW13 maroon embellished gown with an illusion neckline, she finished her look with a sexy bouffant and loose braid.

Cheryl is in Cannes in her capacity as an ambassador for L'Oreal Paris, alongside Eva Longoria, Doutzen Kroes, Megan Dale and fitness guru Jane Fonda. Both Eva and Cheryl have been pictured in Murad gowns and the similarities do not stop there, Eva tweeted 'Me and my twin sister @cherylcole at Cannes'. Cheryl then quickly responded 'It was like looking at a prettier reflection, ha!' I have to certainly agree too, they do look related to one another, both with chocolate doe eyes, amazing bone structure and dimples. Eva Longoria wore her Zuhair Murad SS13 Couture gown to the premiere of Le Passe on Friday night. She looked absolutely fabulous.

Every year Matthew Williamson is a huge hit at London Fashion Week and for his Spring Summer 13 show it was extra special as the collection marked his 15th anniversary. As usual the collection saw a great use of colour with the main inspiration being the 'Festival of Colour' and his passion for India. Think glamorous floating gowns alongside beautifully structured shift dresses and think lots of hot pink and cobalt blue... this is certainly a season of celebration.

Matthew Williamson is fabulous at designing perfect shifts, a key shape of this season. Model of the moment Sarah Ann Macklin looked simply stunning when she was photographed at Tom Ford's dinner wearing the Raj Linen embroidered shift dress. Embellished beautifully with varying beads and dazzling mirrors this knee length dress is beautiful, the blue colour palette is gorgeous and the cut is tailored to perfection. Like Macklin you need to keep accessories to a minimum.
Here at Cruise, we also have the Raj Linen dress available without the embellishment but in a striking pink colour option. Perfect for the warm months ahead this printed dress is tailored beautifully. The vibrant colours and bold print are typical of Williamson and it's no surprise that the dress was a feature in the runway show. Team this with towering heels and an oversize clutch for a striking Summer feel.

"No monuments" while travelling is series of photographs Paying homage to the anti-tourist photo. Collected at locations that are in some way associated with traveling. From the road itself to small Hotel rooms. They visualise the opposite of typical tourist photos and question them. We are used to seeing smiling faces, monuments,or clear toponyms from the trip. This series by Croatia-based Mario Pucic does not offer the standard information about our status, location or ourselves, in this new kind of travelogue.

Stylist's favourite Louboutin heel, the 'Daffodile', appears in a very exclusive print this season. The man himself, Christian Louboutin has his witty portrait incorporated into this eye-catching print to add an element of humour for the Summer, and as always it has his iconic red gloss sole which is now clearly recognised as Louboutin's hallmark.

As every girl knows, footwear should never be taken seriously! She must have fun and ultimately enjoyment whilst wearing her delicious Louboutin's. Heel height is nice & high, just what you expect at 160mm, however the 60mm platform gives you the impression of sky-scraper heels but without as much pain! These shoes will undoubtedly make you feel fabulous and remind you that life should be enjoyed.
The one-off multi coloured print on a satin base goes with any outfit, whether you're dressing up for an occasion or teaming it with your denims. To top this look off, Louboutin has produced a matching tote shopper in the seasonal Sybil silhouette. An easy to use, every day shape that allows a girl to throw in all she could possibly need for the Summer months ahead.
The Daffodile is available in stores now
